What you write here stays behind glass.
Where things live
- Your conversations
On your device only, encrypted. They delete themselves after 14 days, and you can wipe them completely from inside the app at any time.
- On the server
-
A random session identifier with a timestamp, so requests can be attributed and abuse limited. It too is deleted after 14 days.
No conversation transcripts. There is no table that would hold what you wrote.
- At the AI provider
Requests run through the Vercel AI Gateway to Anthropic with zero-data-retention enabled — the providers do not store the content. Details are in the privacy policy.
- No account
There is no sign-up and no login. The honest cost: when you switch devices, nothing carries over, because there is nothing for it to hang on.
When things get serious
Eunoa is a tool for reflection, not an emergency channel. So the way out of an acute crisis is built in rather than left to the conversation:
- Every message is checked for signs of an acute crisis — risk to yourself or to others.
- On a hit, Eunoa does not continue as usual but points to professional help. No advice, no assessment, no going deeper.
- The right numbers depend on your country and are available in the app at any time under Need help right now?
- If that check fails technically, a fixed reply with the same pointer still applies. Anyone at risk gets it either way.
What Eunoa is for
Sorting thoughts, and finding words for conversations with real people. When a sentence is missing, Eunoa suggests one you could actually send.
What it is not for
No diagnoses, no medical advice, no treatment. Replies come from an AI system and can be incomplete or wrong. Persistent distress belongs with a doctor or a psychotherapist.
